The organizers of the tournament in Acapulco, which starts on February 25, announced the owners of wild card to the competition. In women, they became Belarusian Viktoria Azarenka and Mexican Renata Zarazua. The men received invitations Spaniard David Ferrer as well as Frenchman Lucas Puille, who forgot to apply for the competition.
