Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova commented on her performance in Melbourne.
– How is this year different from previous ones? I have come a long way, but I do not know what has changed. Of course, I had a great offseason. Last year was the same, but I got sick at the beginning of the year. Now I am healthy, and this is the most important thing. I played very well in Sydney and even in Brisbane. I am pleased to be showing cool tennis.
“Was it hard a few years ago?”
– I don’t think I lost my motivation. It’s just tennis. Sometimes everything works out, sometimes it doesn’t. I know that I was in several points from the first line, and I had to win two matches. On the other hand, now I’m playing great and trying to get back to that level.
