Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova broke the barrier of the third round of the Australian Open, beating Danish Caroline Wozniacki in three sets – 6/4, 4/6, 6/3.
The fight lasted 2 hours and 24 minutes. The 30th racket of the world, 31-year-old Maria, recorded five breaks and aces to her asset, having made a mistake seven times when serving. The 28-year-old Wozniacki, who ranks third in the WTA ranking, took a rival’s filing three times, made five aces and three double faults.
Russian woman increased the gap in the personal meetings of athletes – 8: 5. In the 1/8 finals of the tournament Sharapova will play with Ashleigh Barty .
