Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov overcame the barrier of the third round of the Australian Open, winning the three sets of the Italian Thomas Fabbiano – 7/6 (5), 6/4, 6/4.
The match lasted 2 hours and 7 minutes. The 21st racket of the world, the 27-year-old Grigor, made four breaks and 13 aces, having made a mistake three times when serving. 29-year-old Fabbiano, occupying the 102nd position in the world classification, twice took the opponent’s submission, made four aces and two double mistakes.
Previously, the players have not met each other. In the 1/8 finals of the tournament Dimitrov will play either with the American Francis Tiafo or with the Italian Andreas Seppi.
