Swiss tennis player Roger Federer overcame the barrier of the third round of the Australian Open, beating American Taylor Fritz in three sets – 6/2, 7/5, 6/2.
For 1 hour and 28 minutes of the match, the third racket of the world, 37-year-old Roger, recorded five breaks and ten aces, having made a mistake three times in the presentation. 21-year-old Fritz, who occupies the 50th place in the ATP ranking, performed eight aces and did not make double mistakes.
The Swiss increased the lead in the personal meetings of the players – 2: 0. In the fourth round of the tournament, Federer will play with Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.
