Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov broke the barrier of the second round of the Australian Open, beating in three sets the Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka – 6/3, 6/3, 6/3.
For 2 hours and 2 minutes of the match, the 11th number of the ATP rating, 22-year-old Karen, made seven breaks and 16 aces, making four wrong mistakes when serving. The 23-year-old Nishioka, occupying the 69th place in the world classification, twice took delivery of an opponent, made four aces and two double errors. Russian went ahead in personal meetings of the players – 2: 1.
