The 17th racket of the world, an American Madison Keys, beat Australian Destanee Aiava, who is in the 191st line of the WTA rating, with a 6/2, 6/2 score at the start of the Australian Open.
Tennis players spent 1 hour and 11 minutes on the court. During this time, 23-year-old Keys completed six aces, never made a mistake when serving and sold four break points, and 18-year-old Aiyava once filed, made six double mistakes and did not make a single break.
This was the first official meeting of athletes. In the second round of the Australian Open, Keys will fight with Russian Anastasia Potapova.
