Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova commented that US Open will be held in early September.
“It will be very difficult for me to play at the Grand Slam tournament without fans. Recently in the Czech Republic I already had experience of such matches, and it was quite sad.
I really don’t know what it will be like to play without spectators, how we will cope with it, how we will fight, what emotions will be. That’s what I missed a lot. We play for the fans, and they go to matches for us.
It`s very difficult for me to say yes or no to the tournament without spectators. There are many reasons to play, and many reasons to refuse to play. But now there is an emergency situation, it will be very difficult for the organizers to make a decision,” Tennis.com quotes Kvitova.
