Caroline Wozniacki commented on her victory over Dayana Yastremska with a score of 7/5, 7/5 in the second round of the Australian Open.
– Do you have time to think about tennis at such a high pace of the game?
– I try, but at some point the game went too fast. I tried to slow her down to buy time.
– People call it the Wozniacki comeback. Which comeback do you think is the best in your career?
– It’s hard to say, there were a lot of them. I remember a match against Kuznetsova at the US Open, like in 2009. It was some kind of madness. She immediately went ahead in the account, but I managed to win with a score of 7/6. She filed for the set at 5/2, but made four unforced errors.
– What were you thinking during today’s match?
– I almost did not have time to think. Dayana immediately began to hit the lines, and almost always hit. I thought this could not go on forever. I tried to hold the ball for two or three shots after serving to increase my chances of success.

– At the end of the second set, the opponent called the doctor to the court.
– It was an attempt to knock me off the beat. With a score of 5/4, she looked and moved completely normal. This is not the first time she has done this, so I was ready for such a maneuver. I tried to maintain concentration and not to fall out of the game.

The mentor of the Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska, a German specialist Sascha Bajin, commented on why his ward took a medical time out.
Just to shut some people up and end this useless convo. Dayana was really struggling since days with her leg, but since y’all are all doctors and coaches you know better then she herself or our whole team who’s working with her. #focusOnYourself
