The German team became the second finalist of the exhibition tournament Hopman Cup, held in Perth. This happened after the victory of the German national team over the Australian team. In the first match Angelique Kerber beat Ashleigh Barty – 6/4, 6/4, after which Alexander Zverev defeated Matthew Ebden, – 6/4, 6/3.
