The 13th racket of the world, Russian Daniil Medvedev, beat Australian Alexei Popyrin, occupying the 101st line of the ATP rating, with a score of 6/7 (6), 6/1, 6/4, 6/4 in the second round of Wimbledon.
The match lasted 2 hours and 31 minutes. During this time, the 23-year-old Medvedev performed ten aces, made a mistake four times in filing and sold five break points, and the 19-year-old Popyrin filed right through six times, made two double mistakes and made one break.
This was the first official meeting of athletes.
