The 11th World Player, Russian Karen Khachanov, beat the German Cedrik-Marcel Stebe, who occupies the 506th line of the ATP rating, with a score of 6/1, 6/1, 6/4 at the start of the French Open.
Tennis players spent 1 hour and 37 minutes on the court. During this time, the 23-year-old Khachanov performed four aces, made a mistake five times in filing and sold six break points, and the 28-year-old Stebe served three times through, made three double mistakes and did not make a single break. This was the first official meeting of athletes.
Khachanov’s next opponent in Paris will be either Frenchman Gregoire Barrere or Australian Matthew Ebden.
